2008 Rates Bighorn Horseback Adventure Mountain Camp Trips

2008 Rates are per person and ALL inclusive except: they do NOT include 5% Canadian GST or Staff Gratuities 10%. There is NO single supplement.

Mountain camp packages
- The Mountain BASE CAMP is located along Cutoff Creek in the Canadian Rockies. The camp includes tents with wood floors, comfortable beds with matresses, a cosy cook tent, and even hot showers. The riding opportunities are spectacular and challenging. his adventure is not for brand-new-adults and children 16 and older. Riders spend between 4 - 5 hours in the saddle each day. The riding is not difficult, but some riding experience is recommended.

- The ADVENTURE CAMP is further into the Rockies and requires a 6 hours horseback ride from the Base Camp to get there. All of the supplies have to be carried in by horse and wagon. The facilities are the same as at the Base Camp with the exception that the tents have carpets insteads of wood floors. Our SPECIAL feature up here is our TIPI - firetent and HOT showers are no problem.

7-day MOUNTAIN CAMPS (MC) Adventure
$1,500 (plus 5% GST & 10% Gratuities)

Note: Our Adventure Camp will be used when available due to river conditions etc. likely included in the July/August/September Mountain Camp Trips!

Great Canadian Cowboy (GCC) Packages - Bighorn Camps & Willow Lane Ranch
The Great Canadian Cowboy experience is one of the most unique and popular. Guests have the opportunity of experiencing a Rocky Mountain Camp and an unique Alberta ranch.

The Bighorn Horseback Adventure Mountain Camps are located in the Clearwater River Valley, in the Rocky Mountains, northwest of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The Willow Lane Ranch (WLR) is a working cattle ranch located south of Calgary that offers guests a real traditional western experience. ( Visit the Willow Lane website: www.willowlaneranch.com)

All GCC Packages include accomodation, meals, riding, transfer from the airport to ranch/camp and in between locations. Not included GST and Staff Gratuities.

14 day Great Canadian Cowboy 'Maverick' (GCM) Package
$3,250 (13 nights, maximum 8 double Occupancy)

(All Maverick Packages begin at Willow Lane Ranch)

The first six nights of this package are at Willow Lane Ranch proper. This package is for any level of rider and the Willow Lane Ranch offers the opportunity for guests to experience life on their cattle&horse ranch.

Once you feel confident in the saddle you head to Bighorn Riding Adventures where you will experience a wilderness horseback Adventure from our Base Camp.

14 day Great Canadian Cowboy 'Vaquero' (GCV) Package
$3,250 (13 nights, maximum 8 double Occupancy) 

(All Vaquero Packages begin at Bighorn Horseback Adventures) 

This package is for guests with definitly at least Intermediate riding ability who wish to experience the Great Outdoors and the way of the real Mountain Men and Cowboys (Vaqueros)! Half of this package is spent at the Bighorn Mountain Base or Adventure Camp (weather permitting) and the other half at the Willow Lane Ranch Advanced Cow Camp. This package is for guests who are able to handle long hours in the saddle sometimes without a break. The terrain is often rough and varied with no chance to choose an easier route so confidence in your horse and riding ability are important for this Adventure.

Small Van (max. 4 people) - $175 per vehicle/per booking (ONE WAY)
Large Van (max.10 people) - $275 per vehicle/per booking (ONE WAY)
